Hello there! I am currently looking at leaving Nvidia for AMD and hoping to upgrade my RTX 3060 TI to either a RX 7800 XT or above (will probably get a Sapphire Nitro+). I game at 1440p at 144hz. (don't really use raytracing) However I am also a content creator and spend a lot of time making videos and video editing as well as digital art. And I also plan on getting either a Meta Quest 2 or 3 for some PCVR gaming at some point too.
But I heard while RDNA 3 has improved a lot with its video editing performance, it still struggles when it comes to encoding, programs that use CUDA cores, as well as the RX 7000 card struggling with VR games at the beginning of it's release.
And while Nvidia does have DLSS and FG. I can't really tell the difference between it and FSR, and if I get something like a RX 7900 XTX, I probably won't need upscaling.
So TLDR, what are some of the drawbacks that the RX 7000 GPUs have compared to the RTX 4000s, and will it be too much of a hindrance?
Assuming I'm running a 3440x1440 ultrawide, what is the best value? Only RX 7000.
