My boss bought a laptop with AMD A6-9225 CPU, to paraphrase the famous Bob Dylan review, what is this shit? It is unbelievably slow, fucking unusable, for example, it takes 20-30 seconds to load Gmail and it lags now when I write this message.

I cannot believe AMD release this shit in 2018, my 8 years old laptop with i3 feels like i9 desktop CPU compared to this shit.

🎇Always disable the antivirus ( turn off real time protection ) before playing a game (it messes up in background when playing) and add you're gaming folder to exclusions on windows defender(when it's done windows defender won't scan and won't delete you're crack files😉) , also never install cracked games on you're OS drive ( primarily C drive )

I plan on buying an AMD laptop. My primary purpose is excessive browsing/ Youtube/Netflix, using MS Office occasional light gaming ( in that order).

While I have seen amazing reviews on AMD processors for gaming and graphics, which processor would suit my purpose. I am looking at a budged of <500$, and typical specs being 4-8GB of RAM and 1TB HDD (not specifically looking for an SSD, though wouldnt turn down the opportunity for an SSD if its a great deal).

Should I go for AMD A6 or Ryzen 3/5 for my purpose. I am asking in terms of reliability and smooth performance for general purpose use, and not looking for specific stats like 2% increase performance/ clock speed etc.

I found an HP G7 with 8GB of RAM 256GB SSD and a A6-9225.

Will A6-9225 be ok for office work and browsing the web?

Please help; I understand part of the slow issues is this laptop only has 1 channel RAM. But anytime Im running 2x chrome tabs, or just vlc playing and msoft teams running, the CPU is always 100% or close to it. I've done as much as I can updating drivers, bios, closing chrome extensions and even an SSD drive.

One thing I can't change is the virtualization, disabled. Bios doesn't show anything for this, and nothing I've found online helps this issue.
