Hello, I recently switched over to Linux mint (cinnamon) for my new pc not too long ago and tried to install radeon Adrenaline but got got an error message stating I have held broken packages. I read somewhere that it isn't available for Linux users, is this the case?
I'm thinking about jumping ship to Linux and I've got a few questions about using AMD Adrenaline or any alternatives over there. I'm a bit of a gamer, so this stuff is pretty important to me. Here's what I'm wondering:
-
Which Distros: Can I get AMD Adrenaline running on different Linux distros, especially Fedora? If not, what’s the go-to software for handling AMD GPU settings on Linux?
-
Features: I love using FSR, FMF, and Chill on Windows. Are these features available on Linux too? How do I get them up and running?
-
Install & Setup: What’s the process like for installing AMD GPU software on Linux? Any good guides or tips you can share
So I have a Acer Aspire 3 with AMD Radeon graphics and I wanted to know If there are drivers for my laptop on bazzite
Update:
Some kind redditers/Linux users have suggested that I look into the corectrl package. I now have to spend some time reading up on it, installing and testing it. Here is a link to the gitlab page for it ==> https://gitlab.com/corectrl/corectrl
Thank you. I will be passing along the info.
I went full team red last year during the X-mas season. I have a Ryzen 7 5800x and a RX 6800 XT GPU. However, I prefer to use Linux. I use Win 10 for a narrow set of activities and it will become more narrow with time. I have no plans to move to Windows 11. So how/where do I get the Adrenaline software for the following Linux distros:
-
Manjaro
-
Arch Linux
-
Linux Mint
-
Pop_OS
-
RebornOS
-
KaOS
-
PCLinuxOS
-
Slackware
-
Fedora
-
OpenSUSE
-
OpenMandriva
-
Void Linux
-
Debian
-
Nix OS
I do not use raw Ubuntu and yes some of the above distros. are heavily curated derivatives of Ubuntu.
Thanks in advance.
