Same thing happened to me. Adrenaline is completely gone but the pro version seems to be the same software. Maybe they’re planning on switching everyone over to the pro version soon to consolidate?

The same thing happened to myself as well. (Did it through Adrenaline) HDR at Full RGB seems to not work anymore with my LG C2... Drivers have been subpar for 2025...

I'm reinstalling drivers and found out about the pro edition of the AMD software, it peaked my interest because it said that it helps with video editing among other stuff. The only thing i really do out of that list is editing, i don't use CAD or animate or anything. Is it worth installing that software if i'm only gonna use one thing? Is the adrenaline edition better for gaming than the Pro edition? i'm going for the adrenaline one for now but i might switch if people tell me it's worth it.

Edit: i thought i could add something; i have a RX 550 4gb, and an Ryzen 5 1600 AF, so i can't really do intensive work with it. Perhaps the Pro Edition allows me to do things i couldn't do before

PRO has validation for stability and compatibility with hardware and software as shown in the site. Adrenaline would be great for your use. You’ll get good performance doing all the other tasks still, just that gaming is more focused on Adrenaline than PRO.

Some people have success eith the PRO drivers in terms of stability. But if you like to play the newest games, you would need the Adrenalin drivrrs as it has optimization for them.

I've ddu'ed my gpu drivers, downloaded the amd utility tool to instal my chipset/ graphics driver and surprise, surprise... instead of adrenalin, it installed the latest pro graphics driver 23.Q1... don't get me wrong, it offers a way better stability for my UC/UV, I'm just wondering why it installed the pro instead of the adrenaline?

Maybe the utility tool is built to prefer those drivers? I actually have no clue. The only thing I know, is that the Pro drivers appear on top of the Adrenaline software package when you download them manually, at least for more recent cards.
Anyway, it shouldn't make much of a difference. If you encounter problems, go back to adrenaline ones. Else, don't even bother.

I just bought my first GPU RX 6600 and when installed the drivers it gave me the Pro edition. Heard Adrenaline is for gaming and im more focused on gaming. What should i do now? Do i need to uninstall the drivers with ddu or i can simply have both Pro and Adrenaline ?

Just uninstall the Pro for the Adrenaline version and you should be ok. DDU is usually overkill unless changing GPU brand or a major version change within the same brand. Typical other use is if you are having problems after an update as it does happen.

I would DDU to be on the safe side personally. Make sure you select Adrenalin edition when you reinstall.

Is this even possible. I thought I installed Adrenalin, and had a red application, but after a Windows update, it seems to be the pro version. What exactly caused this. Everything changed to AMD pro, including the drivers.

Updated to the latest version through AMD's Adrenalin and Adrenalin has changed to Pro.

Yeah, this just happened to me too. I clicked update in Installation Manager and it, for some reason, replaced Adrenalin with the Pro edition software, even though the button was clearly for adrenalin. Now I've been reinstalling my drivers for the past 20 minutes because the installer now refuses to work. Thanks AMD.

The pro drivers are (supposedly) more stable, and you don't need a pro GPU to use them. However they do lack the frequent optimizations for games and such that the regular drivers provide.
