Factsheet
I cant seem to find the actual graphics settings panel, I only have Radeon settings lite which gives me very minimal options to configure. I have seen videos on youtube where people have the same radeon settings panel but it offers way more options to them. I cant seem to find those settings. Do I need to download a specific software like Ryzen controller or AMD catalyst for this?
Specs (Laptop):
AMD Ryzen 5 3500U
Radeon Vega 8 Mobile gfx graphics
8 GB RAM
The latest driver screwed me over when trying to use an external display. It was working fine but I was reading from Reddit and I got the impression I'll need the latest drivers to run Starfield.
I've installed the latest driver several times over. But I got to the point where I uninstalled the AMD software but because I couldn't get it to load anymore.
I am now stuck in the predicament of not being able to find it anywhere. ROG only has the driver installer file.
Does anyone know where to download the AMD software? This is infuriating, please please help.
Well I figured out what I think most people issues were with getting the app to install.
Situation is I and am sure other were trying to install the app while we also have the non windows store radeon relive settings installed. This is where the problem arises and halts the radeon settings lite from installing with us all getting the same error.
Solution I found yesterday. DDU the driver and all, restart, and either install just the driver and radeon settings lite app.
I discovered what the issue was by accident as I was install the new chipset drivers 19.10.8 from an all in one package, with a clean install which also only installed just a graphic drivers.
I then was able to use custom install with the regular download to update just driver and keep the radeon settings lite.
or install the app and then driver both worked for me.
To install just the driver, you need to either download the stand alone driver or do a custom install and uncheck the settings.
Why you ask. Radeon Settings Lite is much much faster the Relive Settings from the driver download.
