For some context, I am getting a RTX 5070TI for my GPU, and I'm using my PC for moderately heavy, daily gaming and programming. The price difference is $100, so is the 9800x3D worth the buy?

For only 100 bucks I’d say SURE, but even if you get the 7800x3d it is still a monster.

I don't think 30% increase in price is justifiable for 10%-15% performance. It might be to some, and some people just want to go all the way, so feel free if you want to, but from price/performance point of view it's not worth it. If you go with R7 7800X3D you can use that money for faster GPU as well. More on reddit.com
