The X3Ds won't drop (or by more than 5% tops) as the 9000 series X3Ds are still maybe 6-9 months off. Wouldn't expect stuff below the 7700x to drop - 7700x and up you might see 10% off. Thing is, these are the x variant chips only that are dropping. Regular stuff comes out later. So they don't have too much incentive to drop the non-x variants, and they're already aggressively priced across the board... especially given Intel can't put out a chip that doesn't disintegrate. Isn't the performance at the same power +15% projected for 5nm anyway? What I see online is this 5nm has 15% more performance than 7nm, all at the same power draw -- or TSMC customers (like AMD, NVIDIA, Qualcomm, etc) can choose a 30% power reduction at the same performance. Not only that, but 5nm will pave the way for a large 1.8x increase in silicon density. This would also assume Zen 4 is a straight die shrunk Zen 3 with an igp and some AI tech for AVX 512. DDR5 should still have an impact in gaming assuming 3dcache isn't standardized. More on reddit.com

There's no anti-AMD conspiracy there, it's just basic economics.Ehhhh...I remember when Nvidia released Maxwell, Nvidia fanboys and apologists couldn't shut up about power efficiency, but now after the 30 and 40 series, the only time they mention lower efficiency is when they say it doesn't matter. As for AMD, I've always thought they were held to higher standards than others, like with Ryzen 5000....people couldn't stop crying about the $50 price bump, despite the fact that they were basically the best processors on the market....so it implies that people expect AMD to simultaneously create the best hardware while charging second tier, budget prices.

Curious if you are already seeing prices drops of the Ryzen 7000 series in your region ahead of the release of new Ryzen 9000 CPUs?
In my region, we did see some temporary drops particularly around Prime day on the less popular SKUs, e.g. 7900x3d but even those have since come back to the price they've been at for the last 3 months with Prime day over.
I understand no one has a crystal ball, but keen to see if other regions have started seeing price drops to see if the same could happen in Australia over the next couple of weeks.
PS: No interest on buying the 9000 series upon launch, reviews be damned. The only reason I'm interested is I'm hopeful they would drag the 7000 series prices down.

Ryzen 7600x launched at $299, i'd expect 9600x to be very similar. With such pricing 7600x current price of $190 won't really need to move to continue selling.
