For a budget of around $500, I wanted to build a gaming pc so here it goes
Ryzen 5 5600g,
Rx 6600,
16GB DDR4,
256 GB NVME SSD,
MSI Motherboard with 64GB max RAM,
500W power supply,
Will probably get a hard disk drive later as I want to play apex legends currently and not really any other games.
I wanted to build it but want opinions. Should I change anything. Also, with the release of AM5 sockets and DDR5 being prevalent in newer boards, should I consider waiting for a bit to get better upgradability?
Edit : To clarify, here is a big discount on a combo of CPU,MOBO,RAM and SSD in my area, so I need to only get the GPU separately. This made it possible to get my current build in the range of 500$
Reading up on AMD's surge in CPU power and how VCache and the X3D line being dominate in gaming specs. However, I wonder if that emphasis on gaming performance comes with drawbacks on other PC functions. Does intel still have a leg up on general PC work or more intensive things like 3D modeling, video editing, music making?
I ask mainly because I saw that VCache comes with the drawback of less clock speed.
