First, I'm so grateful to have found this sub, at times like this I'm in awe of Reddit.
So, I've given up on jeans several times, because I believed that they simply aren't for me. I'm 4'10, 117ish and most of that is in my butt and thighs (you should seriously see my thighs) with a small waist and sensitive skin. But I've seen that AE jeans are recommended pretty consistently here. I've never shopped at AE, so not sure about their quality. Specifically, the prices give me pause-$60 is much less than I expect to pay for jeans- as I've gotten older and less broke I've found that it's often worth it to invest a bit for quality's sake. So how is the quality? And how do they feel? How would you describe the denim? Ya or nay for someone whose skin is particular?
i have always been loyal to american eagle for jeans. i'm probably one of their most devoted customers. however, i've gained weight and their sizing has all of a sudden begun running extremely small. i got my normal size in a new pair of AE jeans the other day and literally broke the button off while trying to close it because it was so tight. the quality and sizing are so awful all of a sudden.
after YEARS of loyalty, i need to find another brand of jeans that offer petite/"short" sizing, preferably in a similar price range as AE jeans.
i prefer super high-waisted, deep pockets, and stretchy waistbands. my favorite style of jeans are mom jeans but those seem to be going out of style so i'll settle for straight jeans now. if anyone knows good, affordable brands with these qualities please let me know!!
Help! Recently got some great advice on this sub about styling jeans (TY). I know I’ll need all of these in a short length, but always try on in store to check out the styles. Really struggling to find jeans that look nice and can be worn with a flat shoe/slip on sneaker. I’ve spent my whole life looking kind of “stumpy” in jeans bc I’m 5’1 and carry most of my weight/muscle in my bottom half. Jeans end up too baggy at the knees, so hemming isn’t always an option and then big in the waist, even if they fit my thighs.
Second to last pair is Abercrombie and I think fits the best. I’m open to all styles and grabbed all different ones today— some aren’t pictured bc they were laughable. How can I be a size 0, 2, and 4 all in the same store?! Last pic is jeans I grabbed at a boutique and LOVE, but the style requires a pretty high heel, which doesn’t work for every day. What are you guys with a similar height/build wearing to avoid that frumpy look?! Ty for any input!! 🩷
