I'm wondering if there is a class action lawsuit around that or if would anyone be staring one that will be coming out. I will for sure be part of it since their process is not fair and they are killing the small fishes in the water for their own monetary benefit, after falsely advertising about Kabbage Checking services.
I don’t believe this is going to happen. Businesses open and close all the time and Amex chose to close this because they opened their own business checking.
While I understand your frustration, you should do your best to move on. I also have a Kabbage checking account but no business loan and just received the same email.
Times are changing. All we can do is roll with the punches and be grateful that we can. Good luck!

you can create sub accounts and get a debit card for those sent to someone else, but only 1 per account
you can only add “read only” users to online access, you can not grant administrative access to anyone
your personal Amex login will become permanently connected to the business account (it cannot be separated to a different login)
your personal Amex membership rewards is permanently merged with the business account
All in all, Amex’s technology is far behind what other banks are offering. If you are a sole proprietor, it may be fine. If you have anything other than that, the limitations are huge.
I called Amex and asked them questions about all of these issues and they basically told me everyone complains about these limitations, their product team is aware of them, and they are working on them - but there is no timeline.
