American Express CD Rates
The funds were completely available and clear for any withdrawal but someone at this less than honest bank did not like the idea of the very large exit of money. I recommend any depositor look elsewhere and in fact, lots of higher paying interest accounts are out there now, much higher that American Express bank rates. ... I have been with Amex CD for about two years plus and watched my money grew exponentially.

Amex HYSA went down to 3.6%, thoughts on moving to my Fidelity CMA?
Thanks for coming back by the sub today, u/blazinsmokey . We appreciate that you're considering transferring additional funds over to Fidelity. I'll join you to share some information. If you decide that you'd like to transfer your funds to Fidelity, there are a few methods available that I wanted to point out. If your AMEX account is a bank account, you can transfer funds via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) after linking your account to your Fidelity account. You can also choose to wire the funds, which we do not charge a fee for, but the other bank may charge a fee. If the external account is a brokerage account, you can transfer the funds via a Transfer of Assets (TOA). You'll submit the request through our link below, and then we will request the transfer for you. Transfer of Assets Depositing money to your Fidelity account I also wanted to mention that we have a great spot on the sub to engage with the community and discuss strategies, portfolios, and investments. It's called the "Weekly Discussion Thread" and you'll find it pinned to the top of the sub each week. I'll mark this post as a discussion so our community can continue to share their thoughts. Please let us know if you have any other questions about your accounts or anything else. I hope we'll see you again soon! More on reddit.com

American Express worth it?
Savings and CD (i.e. cash) aren't investments. You can compare the APY to other banks' savings and CD accounts. There are even websites that make a list of the highest APY accounts. More on reddit.com

AMEX HYSA vs CD's.
Typically the rate on a CD is locked for the term of the CD. HYSAs vary with each Fed action. So if they cut one more time and HYSAs are down to 3.5% the CD would still be 4%. That’s the catch, positively or negatively, with CDs. More on reddit.com

Why is Amex reducing APY twice in one month
It's important to remember that even with $100,000 sitting in deposits for an entire year, the difference is only about $100 for every 0.1% change, or around $8 a month. So consider the effort, stress, and risk in changing things around to save that much. That said I miss 4.4% already and am now sad. More on reddit.com
