I have the Amex business checking and it’s surprisingly lackluster, from what I can tell the personal checking is like that too. You don’t mention Capital One, but their checking is really great and it earns a little interest. If you use that for your main checking you could potentially ditch BOA all together. If there’s not a Capital one branch near you, they’ll let you deposit cash at Walgreens, Duane Read, or CVS locations. And they are in the allpoint ATM network which seems to have machines all over the place. The interest on their HYSA is competitive so you could keep all your cash in there to earn interest and then transfer it instantly to checking when needed. Their app is really solid too. It’s fine, don’t use as my primary but has potential. There’s no downside to opening one and getting the sub, you can just leave $5 in it and it won’t close. I do use the HYSA and i can imagine it becoming a better option in the future

Just got the mail stating that I'm going to receive my SUB in a few weeks. This email came in after my first direct deposit (from employer) was completed. EDIT: 22 hours after posting this reply, the SUB got credited to my account.
