Android Auto stopped working today
Android Auto not Connecting to Vehicle
One thing that I've found on other posts and it was happening to me, is the phone port was dirty inside and I had to clean it. Now even if the phone kept on charging, AA was not able to start in the car.

One thing to note is simply looking at a USB port isn't really enough, you're shoving a piece of metal (usb cable) in there which squashes the gunk to the back of the port. That gunk stops your USB cable from fully plugging in and making a connection on the electrical pins.
Use a sim card removal tool to really get in there and carefully scratch the back of the port clean.

This started for me a few days ago. I have a aftermarket head unit by JVC. I finally got my steering controls back and I can answer my calls, but now out of no where the USB cable that worked fine for over year is being reported as "not compatible". Android auto will work for a little bit and then drop all audio and start playing through my Pixel 4A.

Can I add Android Auto to my car, if it doesn't support it?

I've updated, I've tried changing cords, I've tried to clean out the ports but there all spotless. I have an 11 hr drive this Friday and I REALLY need to get fixed.
Had no idea which flair to pick for this, sorry if that's wrong.
I have a google pixel 4a 5g like I said it worked Sunday on my drive up but then didn't work Tuesday when I went to drive back down(before this I was working fine for months). When I plug it in the phone buzzes as normal, charges, but the display never comes up on my car (which is a 2021 Mazda). I ordered another cord from the links but that won't get here till tomorrow and like I said I've tried two other cords that had worked in the past. What else can I do to fix this?
Hi,
Today Android Auto stopped working as my veihicle and phone no longer communicate for Android Auto. The phone shows a trying to connect to Android Auto message and nothing. Veihicle doesn't show the AA icon and if I force the connection it says it can't connect.
Removed phone from veihicle, cleared AA data and cache from phone, latest AA version is installed. Re-added phone to veihicle and same thing. Only Bluetooth connection, no AA connection.
I see a few recent posts on the google community forum from users stating the same. Anyone else facing issues? It was working fine until today, no changes.
Thanks!
