r/airpods on Reddit: Airpods not recognized by Android phone anymore
April 29, 2022 -

They worked fine until yesterday, then all of a sudden they wouldn't connect with the phone anymore. They still connect fine with my MacBook and iPad.

I tried unpairing them, resetting them, restarting phone/bluetooth/wifi, everything. Now they don't even show up on the phone when scanning for devices. I see a device that's just showing up as an address (1C:1A:C0:6A:8A:7C), not sure if that's the airpods, can't connect to that no matter what I do with the airpods case button. It's not showing anything called airpods when scanning.

None of the guides I checked mentioned what to do when the airpods don't even show up in available devices.

Any idea how to fix this and get them working with the Android phone once again?

r/airpods on Reddit: 2nd gen Airpods won’t pair?
September 2, 2023 -

Hey yall. This morning I went to put my airpods in and they just didn’t connect, after a few times turning my phone/bluetooth on and off and leaving my airpods in the case for a minute then trying again; I just went to forget the airpods and reconnect them. Now, however, they just won’t pair. I hold down the button for them to start pairing and the light just goes from green to off, then the light turns back to green when I let go of the button. They charged all through last night so I know they’re alive, and the bottom isn’t dirty. I’ve already been having a lowkey really shitty month so I’m just like at my breaking point can anyone please help me re-pair my stuff.

AirPods Won't Connect To Android? Here's The Fix!
February 18, 2021 - To ensure that your AirPods aren't just overwhelmed by the number of devices they're currently connected to, the easiest thing you can do is to turn off Bluetooth on all of your personal technology besides your Android. Once your Bluetooth network is made up of only your Android and AirPods, the troubleshooting process should be much simpler. A common explanation for any connection troubles users have with their AirPods is that they're just not paired to the desired device.
