I use a drill to hold my polishing pads or on my polisher motor I build to polish my turnings, I have used this setup for 20 years or so. A right angle grinder spins at about 11.000RPM, way to fast for a buffing pad/wheel, there are special crimped in steel brushes that you can use in a right angle grinder.
