So I just purchased the 613 after watching some reviews. It didn’t dawn on me until setting it up though, that the charger they give you which has both USB C and A, they utilize the USB A output to the USB C input on the back of the stand itself. I was wondering if I would risk damaging anything, or if I’d yield better results if I swapped the cable out with a certified USB C to USB C cable. I tried finding threads talking about this and looking through the manual, but didn’t see anything. Is it just not worth it because all MagSafe charging is reduced to 7.5W and I wouldn’t gain anything out of the swap?
Any insight appreciated!
I'm planning to buy this as a gift for my father on his birthday, he has a Samsung S9, which supports wireless charging and is magnetic and can latch to magnetic wireless chargers, Can I still use this Anker product or would it not work??
Thx!!
Hello everyone, I got myself an Anker 613 which I really like, but I’m having some issues with the mounting part.
I have Ford Mondeo MK3, so the dashboard is ever so slightly curved which makes the mounting, using only the silicone suction cup, a no-go.
So I tried the pad which has some adhesive on the bottom and the pad itself is not going nowhere, but the phone holder doesn’t seem to stick to the pad either. I’m guessing that the pad got curved a little bit too and so it affects the efficiency of the suction cup.
I need some ideas or suggestions on how to make it work since I really like this product and I wouldn’t want to get a refund.
