March 7, 2018 - I’ve had the same red Powerline cable for 1.5 years and it shows no signs of wear. Braided design rocks! ... Just got a Qi charging pad from them and, so far, really like it. ... I use their 24W dual chargers in the living room and basement and they charge quickly. Their cables are well made and I have some but there are some other good brands too that can be cheaper than anker. My other recent lightning cable purchases are amazon basics and blitzwolf.

They are not the Nylon braided, BUT if you read reviews on various sites, many customers believe the NON-Nylon like these are better quality and are less likely to fail. Feel free to comment your experiences on that below. Included, but no mention on box: velcro-like ties (4), magnetic flap storage wraps (2) ... I agree with them. I’ve had far less problems wit the normal cables than the nylon.

I'm wondering whether I should buy the Powerline II or the Anker Double-Braided Nylon Lightning cable because both are $19.99 at the moment on Amazon from AnkerDirect AU (both have free shipping).

Powerline II is $19.99 without discount but does not specify the length (though I think it is 0.9m): https://www.amazon.com.au/Anker-Powerline-Lightning-Probably-Certified/dp/B06XFK2H8Z
I'm mostly confused because the Double Braided cable that is usually more expensive can only withstand bends 5k times, but the Powerline II can withstand bends 12k times. Is the Double Braided deal actually worth it or should I just buy the Powerline II? Both are "Amazon's Choice" and have the same reviews of 4.5 stars (~28k reviews for Powerline II and ~48k reviews for Double Braided).
Both guarantee lifetime warranties, but the Powerline II boasts fast charging and the Double Braided boasts braids. Am I correct in assuming that the Powerline II would be a better option despite having less reviews and less specifications in the descriptions but apparently faster speeds and more durability? Also, the Double Braided cable released in 2018, but the Powerline II released in 2017.
Is there that much of a noticeable change in charging speed for an iPhone XS Max between the Powerline II and the Double Braided cable?

I own the USB-C to USB-C version of both these cables. Both are good, but I prefer the braided nylon as the material has been more durable in my experience. I've had one of my Powerline rubber cables split open (although not the exact Powerline II cable in question, and was still usable after) and never any issues with Anker's nylon cables. I also prefer the Velcro cable management strap that comes with the nylon cables over the rubber strap that the Powerline cables come with.
