I recently purchased an Anker USB-C Hub to allow me to connect two monitors to my home laptop. The image on the Amazon product page suggests that this is supported on a windows machine. The USB-A ports are functioning just fine, for mouse and keyboard. My laptop doesn't recognize that a monitor is plugged into the hub though. I can switch the HDMI cable from the hub to the laptop itself, and it shows up, but plugged in to the hub it does nothing. I'm using a HDMI to DVI adapter cable for the connection, as my monitors do not have HDMI ports.
Is there something else I need to be doing to get this to work?
For what it's worth I'm also not seeing anything happen when I plug an SD card into the hub, either.

It is likely the adapter you’re using. Lots of these hubs have issues with adapters from one connection type to another. To be sure its not the hub you can connect it to your TV, it will have HDMI inputs. Some DVI-HDMI adapters don’t have the right combination of pins connected to work in the newer standards.

I just purchased an Anker 332 USB-C hub. For some reason, it is not working to transmit video from USB-C to HDMI. I just tried the Anker Power Expand+ USB-C to HMDI adapter and it worked fine. Before purchasing the Anker 332, I was using an Anker Power Expand+ 7-in-1 USB-C PD Media Hub; that unit always worked well. Any ideas on what the issue could be? I am using a Lenovo X1 Carbon gen 6.
