Different synonyms for good-looking: pretty, beautiful, cute, hot, sexy, handsome, striking, etc. all evoke different vibes. For example, some people can be cute but not sexy, or very striking but not pretty. Doesn't mean they don't look good, just that they look good in different ways.
Haven't been able to place what exactly the vibes of gorgeous are though, and was wondering what people thought?
Got in a playful argument with my sister in law yesterday because I have a tendency to call women I really like “cute”. I admit there’s a hint of childishness to it, but I’ve realized that I am most attracted to women that I would consider “cute” (both in physical appearance and personality). She thinks it’s immature (I’m really close to her so it’s more of a jokey thing) but I would say that I’d rather be in a relationship with a cute woman than other adjectives like sexy, hot, beautiful, etc
also, as a guy, I’d be most complimented by a woman calling me cute. I don’t consider myself sexy or handsome (not in an insecure way, I just don’t really care about being sexy or handsome). But I also accept if y’all are worded out and confused by this 😂
I can't think of a single word for near-perfect, but there are many that describe a beautiful woman.
Elegant, gorgeous, ideal, lovely, stunning, radiant, exquisite, fair, fetching, delicate, divine, dazzling, enticing, enthralling, magnificent, resplendent, mesmerizing, charming, captivating, adorable, alluring.
From @Graffito: Superb, majestic, marvelous, sumptuous, admirable
You could always describe her many appealing features in succession followed by a single imperfection to convey the idea better. Or preface one of the listed words with near-*
Hope this helps!
I always liked exquisite, that would seem to be in the ballpark
