It totally depends if you are taking the exam. If you are self-studying the course and taking the exam, then you should be registered in the Exam Only section for that course on MyAP to take the exam this upcoming May, granting you access to the resources on AP Classroom. If you aren't registered in the Exam Only section for your course on MyAP, then you cannot access the resources on AP Classroom. If you are self-studying, are planning on taking the exam, but aren't registered in the Exam Only section for your course that you're self-studying, then you have to talk to your AP Coordinator to see if they are able to give you an Exam Only section code to join the Exam Only section for that course you're self-studying on MyAP to register for the exam and gain access to the resources on AP Classroom. I'm doing this for AP Physics 2 and my AP Coordinator made an Exam Only section for that course just for me. It turns out to be that I would be the only one taking that exam at my school. If you are self studying, the assignments are locked anyway. You would only be able to access the AP daily videos, which are also available on YouTube. I self studied for the calc bc exam last year too, I was able to get an exam-only access code after my exam registration in a different high school. I’d advise you to watch the AP daily videos, then study for the exam on Khan Academy and Crash AP, they were very helpful :)

Hello, I know that everyone here is a student but do any of y'all know(or have experience with) if its ok/legal to join other AP classrooms with codes you found online? I found a bunch of codes from a random school online. I want to self-study for a couple AP exams and was wondering if I could get in trouble for this? Also, does the classroom go away after the exam date? Thanks!

Talk to your AP Coordinator to make sure you don't mess up testing. I usually have kids join my AP classroom with a different name/email if they're testing through Prometric and have to take tests in Hong Kong or Singapore. If you're international, more likely to be an issue than the US, but still check.
