You, the college, university, or scholarship program you designated using your free score send, and educators in your school and district, including your AP teachers, will automatically receive your scores once they’re released. 2025 AP score distribution tables show the percentages of 1s, 2s, 3s, 4s, and 5s for each AP subject for all AP students.

If your college has given you a personal online account, you may be able to sign in to that site and see whether your scores have arrived.

After scores are released, sign in to our AP student score reporting portal using your College Board login information. Your account contains your full AP score send order history, whether the request was made online, by mail or fax, or through a customer service representative.

Students can find information about AP courses and exams, access AP Classroom resources such as AP Daily videos, and view their AP Exam scores.

July 1, 2025 - Select “View Your Scores” from the dropdown menu. If you already logged into your My AP account, you should see your scores for all the AP exams you’ve taken.

You can send one score report for free every year that you take AP Exams. Make sure to use your free score send before the June 20 deadline.

Chinese, Calculus BC, Japanese, Drawing, and Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism are some of the AP tests with the highest average scores, but they are all known to be quite difficult. Also note that native speakers, or students with experience living abroad, tend to take the AP language exams, which inflates their average scores (for the average of those who learned in a classroom, check the "Standard" score).

Even if your AP scores don’t end up earning you college credit or allowing you to place out of certain courses, most colleges will respect your decision to push yourself by taking an AP course. A high score on an AP exam show mastery of more difficult content than is taught in many high school courses.

The mean score for the 2024 AP Exams was 3.12. Nearly 60 percent of all exams taken earned a score of 3 or higher.

Inform students that they must use their College Board account in order to access their AP scores online at apscore.org. They should sign in with the same account they used to register and enroll in AP class sections.

By succeeding in rigorous academics before you enroll at the University of Michigan, you demonstrate that you are more than prepared to succeed at one of the most academically challenging institutions in the country. However, in addition to completing your AP/IB course(s), you must also perform successfully on the exam and earn a high score.
