Downloaded some gigabyte software to manage auros pro motherboard. When I go to check updates, it is always stuck in checking updates. Is there an easy way to get the latest bios/motherboard driver update for the auros pro wifi x570 other than MS Windows Update?
I'm still pretty new with my gigabyte mobo and downloaded a bunch of the software that came with APP center, and for whatever reason I've been having blue screens with the apps from it lmfao mostly from gservice and OCButtonService after i checked in windows event viewer

I recently installed Gigabyte app center. Upon attempting to run it, windows now crashes on startup. This program literally fucks your PC. Gigabyte obviously have appalling programmers and the fact that their program actually breaks your PC is an absolute joke.
Do i have to keep it to make my pc live or can i simply uninstall the entire thing?
I got a B660M Aorus Pro DDR4 motherboard and it asked me to install App Center. I also noticed that Gigabyte's has a software called Control Center.
What are their differences? Which one should I use? Which one is newer?
Bought new pc yesterday and it downloaded APP center. Since then it is asking me for download on reboot. When i searched about this app online, a lot of people are saying not to download this app. Im not sure whether i have to download the updates or not. Please help me out.

I got this pop-up when installing Windows. How is it that your BIOS can implant files in your OS? Just curious how it's done.
Just installed an Aorus Elite on my new build. I want to verify which of these apps I actually need before I fill up the window with Apps that aren't helpful or have better options elsewhere.
SO before downloading bios, it states we should download the app center. but i cant find this download anywhere... can someone help me find it?
You can find it listed here https://www.gigabyte.com/Support/Utility But i would advice you to stay away from it. The software kinda sucks
Stay the hell away from it, you will lose hours upon days of your time that you will never get back again.
Just download the apps you want separately and access them like anything else. You have been warned. 😀
So i was using app center to adjust the speed of my cpu fans without acessing the bios since im not really comfortable moving around in it because im scared of screwing something up, so i was using appcenter for a while and then it told me that appcentre has an update so i updated it and it removed all of my apps.... no problem i said to myself ill just reinstall them. no it only installed easy tune and that's it and i cant install SIV at all i cant install it trough app center and not even trough their site, on the installer it gives me an error -1605 something about how it only works for things that are already installed
im using an old 970-Gaming motherboard
edit: I just downloaded appcenter from their Site in the mind of reinstalling it and it gave me some worse shitty version that only has live update
Sorry for the cursing but it's just too annoying
Yeah fuck that software. Bad enough if you buy a mid range motherboard, but if thats the software those 500$+ super boards get I would return it immediately. It is so 2005. Plus it always wants to install shitty adware.
The last time I reinstalled Windows I made sure not to put App Center back on afterwards.
Zero regrets.
As the title asks, Is it really that bad?
So for context i'm looking to update my BIOS which is currently on F30 to F40 or higher, Im thinking about upgrading my CPU here soon. I've seen to main methods to update the BOIS with a flash drive or APP CENTER. Is APP CENTER a good idea for someone who's never updated a motherboard in their life or should i risk the flash drive method. Not really comfortable with the flash dirve method and am honestly thinking about just paying someone to do it for me if I have to.
Edit: Thank you all for the feed back, I will be doing the updates though q-Flash. I guess I'm just a bit scared of messing it up and ruining my setup and its not as hard as I had initially thought.
My G24F-2 monitor and Gigabyte RX 6600 EAGLE video card support Gigabyte Control Center, but my Gigabyte B450M K motherboard does not.
So I need to install App Center for the motherboard but both apps delete each other. Is there anything I can do?
Ever since I got my Gigabyte Z390 AORUS Elite motherboard I've been having problems with the software. The Bios sucks and keeps crashing, the software just doesn't function bla bla I will never buy a Gigabyte product again bla bla...
Now Gigabyte has hit a now low. The App Center told me there were new updates. Sweet, maybe now it allows me to install everything after reinstalling windows recently. So... I did it. I installed EVERYTHING. Oh... what a disaster.
Rebooted, opened control panel because I wanted to remove some stuff I shouldn't have installed and boom. Blue Screen of Death. DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION. Looked it up, what the heck... Easytune, the application that never worked for me anyway gives everyone a BSOD with its newest update. What. The. F*ck. Gigabyte...
So, safe mode, uninstall EVERYTHING and boom. Did some system and drive scans, everything seemed to be fixed. Well... guess not. Downloaded some older versions of the software so I can still control my f*cking computer but no... SIV installed, won't start. Easytune is stuck at some allocating disk space or something and I gave up.
So... what to do... Is there a way to see what other fuck ups Gigabyte did to my system? I got another BSOD when entering wireless VR. So that was fun! Oculus Air Link seemed to be broken in general after this debacle because I could COUNT the pixels while using it.
Honestly Gigabyte, your hardware is great. My motherboard is a BEAUTY. But your software sucks and EVERYONE KNOWS IT.
This is a cry for help, I'm tired...
[UPDATE]
Since my new install of Windows was pretty fresh already I decided to just reinstall Windows after another BSOD. Not even gonna visit the product page of my motherboard after downloading RGB Fusion. Lesson learned.
No matter how many time I hit ok, as soon as it finishes updating, I get the same message all over again. Anyone knows a fix short of uninstalling everything and reinstalling?
So I've seen a lot of mixed comments regarding the app center/RGB fusion and scary stories about it causing BSOD, errors, or other issues.
I just recently built a new rig so the last thing I want to do is deal with potential issues.
Does the app center really cause these issues? If so how do I go about uninstalling it without causing other issues to my PC if any? If uninstalled how would I go about changing the RGB on my fans and such?
hey, I've never had any issues with it ... and I still use it today to control my rgb
Well I'm having random crashes on my Z690 Aorus Pro.. Absolutely buggy piece of garbage and this is the second board I need to replace.. The first was damaged right out of the box with damaged pins and the memory wasn't being detected. I've tried everything, Reinstalling windows, driver updates, bios updates, what a mess of a product and I'm never buying anything from them ever again.
I'm looking to update my Gigabyte BIOS through the App Center, specifically using the "update from file" option. I want to avoid using a USB drive because I find it inconvenient and I'm worried it might cause issues, even though I've done it successfully once before. My question is, when using the "update from file" method, should I rename the BIOS update file to "GIGABYTE.bin"? I had to name it that when using a USB drive, but I'm not sure if the same applies here. Any advice or suggestions on this would be greatly appreciated!
Edit : Alright. I will do it with a USB stick.
Just got a new pc and every time I start with a blank app center window comes up. I took a look and found a setting in the bios should prevent this but my bios does not have that option. Any ideas?
I have a gigabyte mb and monitor and I just installed GCC and I thought, hey its probably going to install drivers and stuff I need or related to the products I have. But nope, it installs over 10 programs of pure bloat that no one will ever use. Who thought this is a good idea??
I recently tried updating my BIOS using the App Center. After flashing the update, everything went dark! But don’t panic like I did—the App Center just messed up the boot order. I simply had to make sure the boot drive was set correctly. I was freaking out for 10 minutes! Please be careful and use a flash drive. I'm posting this in hopes that it will help someone.
I purchased a new computer from PC Specialist (yeah I know) for a friend of mine for her birthday but this pop up keeps plaguing her screen whenever she boots up the computer.
I’ve tried uninstalling it, turning off the load up when booted setting, updated all the drivers and it won’t leave the screen? Anyone also had this issue or know how to fix it?
