Do you have a "Rate of Return *** (1-Year) on the top of your account's summary page?
the full Performance tab is only available if your balance is bigger than some number Fidelity sets.
Alternatively, since you say it's a retirement account, can you click on the netbenefits link on the top right? "Go to NetBenefits.com"
if so, and you get to your account there, and a netbenefits summary page for the account, you should see Rate of Return (with an "as of" date) there?
You can then also click on Investment Performance & Research, and see YTD performance of your positions, with Returns As Of <date>.
You can also click on Annualized Returns tab, and Cumulative Returns tab there, for more detailed info.
