I’m new to this subreddit, can someone point me to a reliable, preferably free radar app to use? I heard of radar scope but it cost $10. Thanks in advance.
I'm looking for a good, reliable weather app that goes a little more into detail than the basic info (like where's the rain), maybe throw in some velocities on the map too. I've heard RadarScope was good but I don't want to pay $100 for a weather app. Any help is appreciated.

Hi guys, I'm not a storm chaser or meteorologist, but i want to get a radar app to better understand what weather i might experience around me. are there any radar apps that are a bit simpler in appearance and not so cluttered, while still showing storms, lightning, maybe a future forecast?
I've downloaded radarscope and learned a bit about reflectivity and velocity, but not the 15+ other products it has. is it worth spending the time to learn these apps or is there something simpler I could get?
What's a good android app for radar that includes velocity radar? Preferably free but I'll spend money as long as there's no subscription
The weather channel site has ads all over the screen ( I don’t mind some ads but that site is difficult). Accuweather site is super glitchy. Apps all seem to want a subscription. Any kind person have a recommendation? TIA
What's your favorite weather and radar app ?
I've joined some online job platform. I realize it's a scam from about a year ago. I think it's come up again in the last few months judging from the date that the admin accounts were created. Has anyone else been involved in this scam or currently being scammed? How it works: I got contacted via sms. They see if you want to join and someone will reach out to you on WhatsApp. You are then explained the position. They say you basically increase traffic for apps. You have to complete 3 sets of 40 tasks. Each task gives you a small commission. Every day you have the "opportunity" to hit a combo. A combo will make your account balance go negative and you will need to deposit money to complete the tasks. As your account balance grows your commission grows but so do the combos. If you hit too many combos in one day it's possible you won't be able to cover the negative balance. If this happens, they take all your money. They say you get $800 after 5 consecutive days of work. Has anyone successfully done this? They also have a group for the employees. Not sure how many in the group are part of the scam.
Every top one I don't really trust, and they seem excessive for what I want. I just want one to open that's the same location every time. I dunno, I feel like I'm missing some really good small app.
What is everyone’s recommendation for a good weather/radar app. The Weather Channel app has completely lost me with their constant pop-up ads and their terrible forecasting. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
Storm Shield just announced a price hike from $1.49 to $6.49 per month. I’ve always liked it for its simple radar and reliable severe weather alerts (especially in tornado alley), but that’s a big jump. I’m open to keeping it, but I’m curious—what’s your favorite weather app for simple radar (with future view) and notifications in the USA?
Me and my friend are trying to find a good free radar app/website for Android, any suggestions?
What is yalls go to app for mobile radar, and or including weather model data? I have been trying to find one that includes wind velocity maps to track tornados with in storms. Intellicast used to have them on their site but once underground took over they disappeared
I have been using The Weather Channel and NOAA apps.I heard of Radarscope but idk if its worth the 10 bucks or so.Any reccomendations would be greatly appreciated.
RadarScope 100%. Data is straight from radar sites and doesn’t get “smoothed over” like other apps. It’s an app more driven toward people with meteorological backgrounds. With a little research, it’s easy for weather enthusiasts like myself to understand some of the features.
MyRadar is pretty good.
I know radar omega and radar scope but those cost money and If I can I would like to avoid spending money
What's the best radar app for Android? It looks like it's between radarscope and omega radar...
Im looking for a good radar app, if anyone has any recommendations.
Radarscope, without any question. But this question has been asked at least a dozen times and probably thrice that, between here and r/weather et cetera. Please use the search function. I even did it for you
RadarScope - paid & Hi-Def Radar. iOS Not sure what platform you are own or your needs.
Hey folks, got my R4 on the way, should be here by saturday. I have Android and was told to check out the highway radar app, and folks claim that paired with that allows for lets say...a lot of room for error. So I did, but it doesn't seem to do anything besides show red light and speeding cameras...does that thing alert or show cops like waze user make it? Or am I feeling this way cause I don't have the actual R4 in hand to sync up to it? Is that why nothing seems to be happening/showing up on the app? I seen some green/blue colors on roads...but that was about it.
Is that plugin/crowd thing needed to get it function and show stuff?
Is there any reason to use that app over waze , and if so...what exactly?
Anyone have any recommendations for when precise radar, precipitation, and temp info are needed? RadarScope looks pretty good but is $10. Would rather pay something for a quality app though. Gaia provides some info but I'm not sure how accurate it is minute to minute.
