I currently have an iPhone 11 Pro Max and it’s time for an upgrade, but honestly, I don’t like the iPhone 17 Pro at all. The design looks retro and outdated. I’d like to know if I can still purchase the iPhone 16 Pro Max at Apple stores (it has to be factory unlocked).

The 17 Pro has 12GB RAM, old ones have 8GB. Big mistake to buy such an expensive phone for the same price at like half the RAM. They're probably bumping the base iPhone 18 in 2026 to 12GB, too. It was even rumoured that eveThere were rumours up Google Pixel already have had 16GB for Pro for several generations, and 12GB for the basic Pixel 9 and 10, it's how much you need for Artificial Intelligence to have it work properly, without starving the rest of the system. It's why Apple still has issues with Apple AI, because they simply don't have enough memory to run the good models locally at an adequate performance level.
