Should I buy a 14” MacBook Pro M4 (base model) now during Black Friday, or wait until next summer?
Worth waiting for Black Friday?
Apple usually doesn't do too many sales. You'll have more luck going through a third party, like Best Buy, and see what sales they offer.

How is this a 'dirty little secret'? Apple doesn't need to offer much of a discount to massively increase foot traffic. Whereas Best Buy is desperate to bring people into their stores - even if it means selling Apple products as loss leaders.

It’s way too new to have deals on Black Friday although if your a Best Buy member (free) you can save $100 now or student I believe you can save $200 (heard you can lie and they don’t even check but ymmv)

I’m considering getting the 14” MacBook Pro with the regular M4 chip. I can easily wait until August next year, but the Black Friday deals are pretty good. ( 250.- discount)
What matters to me:
The display is more than good enough for me.
I plan to keep the laptop for around 6 years.
I’m torn between buying now or waiting for prices to drop further once newer models come out.
What do you think? Is it worth grabbing one now, or is it more realistic that prices will continue dropping over the next few months? Any experiences or insight appreciated.
