What’s the difference between Apple Cash and Apple Pay?

What can I do with my Apple Cash?

I've had some Apple Cash sitting in my wallet for a while now, but I haven't found a good way to use it. Since I live in Canada, my options seem pretty limited. I know I can use it for in-app purchases on iPhones, but I'm not really interested in spending it on games or other apps.
My main question is: Can I use Apple Cash at convenience stores or other places that accept Apple Pay? Are there any other ways I can use it without purchasing another Apple device or spending it on app-related content?
Would appreciate any tips or suggestions. Thanks!

Using Apple Cash to pay in the UK
Yes it can be done. In the past, when the Apple Cash card was Discover, it did have a foreign transaction fee and it was difficult if not impossible to use it successfully at stores outside the US. Now that it has been switched to Visa it works just fine everywhere and there is no foreign transaction fee anymore. I can assure you this based on my experience with the Apple Cash card in Mexico (no luck when it was Discover, 100% now that it’s Visa).
