So I just recently bought an M1 Mac mini about a few months ago. I’m highly considering trading it in for when the new MacBook Pro comes out. On top of trading in my Mac mini, could i still get the education discount when purchasing the MacBook Pro?

Yes you trade in and still get the education discount. You can do it right now online so assuming when new MacBook pros come out you can still get the education discount on them, you’ll be able to trade in the Mac mini.

You don’t need a student ID if buying online. If you’re not a student, I’d go check them out in person and make your decision, then head home and place the order online if you’re required to show a student ID in person. Online you surely don’t need a student ID. Anyone can order and get the discount and the promo.

I am looking to buy a new macbook and ipad. I know that in apple educational store, the prices are $150 and $100 off respectively and they’ll give out i think $100 coupons for next purchase in apple store.
I thought this was a permanent thing and as long as i am a student, i can take advantage of this offer. So i was so shocked when i looked at the apple store to see that the educational promo (voucher and lower price) is ending on 9/30.
For those of you who are experienced with apple, do you know if they will replace this with other offer? Or is this “offer ending” legit and not just a way for them to force you to purchase now? All this time im always under the assumption that apple gives students discounts all the time.

The offer that is ending on 9 September is the gift card promo. The reduced pricing of the devices is always the same. However, each year starting in May and running until October, Apple has additional promotions. Sometimes it is free AirPods, sometimes it is gift cards.
