I'm obviously biased, since I interned at Apple and will be joining them full-time soon, but I thought I'd answer your questions: Apple's compensation package is about equivalent to Google's. There might be a small difference (+/- 5k a year in salary or stock), but both companies offer a salary and RSU grant of a little above 100k each. Culture/work-life balance hugely depends on what team you're on, and I think that's true at any company. I worked no more than 40 hrs/week on average and it looked like it was the same for the other engineers on my team. However, I do know of a few people in other groups that ended up working late nights. I personally loved the culture/atmosphere in my team. Also, Apple is lighter on the perks than Google is, but I didn't find myself caring too much. The one perk I wish we had was free lunches, but the food is pretty cheap and really high quality. Also the food is free after 5pm, so most people grab dinner before leaving work. I think their prestige should be about equivalent. No one is going to look down on you for working at Apple lol. Washington will be a lot cheaper than the Bay Area, and since I think Google gives the same salary to Washington and Bay Area employees (not 100% sure about this though) , you will definitely have greater savings in Washington. However, I would think about which city would make you happier. For me, I grew up in the Bay Area and so I'm really attached to it, while I didn't like Seattle much when I visited. Because of this, regardless of the cost-of-living disparity, I couldn't imagine myself living in Seattle. It all depends on your personal preferences. Apple has high intern conversion rates. As long as you do a good job and your team likes you, you will get a return offer. Most of the interns I know got return offers. I think the conversion process is much better at Apple than at Google, since you don't have to re-interview. Overall, I was extremely happy during my summer at Apple and that's why I'll be going back for full-time. You have to realize though, that the most important factors in how much you enjoy working at any company is whether you like your project/team members/manager. I wouldn’t expect any technical questions. This is likely with the recruiter to get a feel of your experiences and overall attitude before they funnel you to the technical rounds. So yes knowing your resume is great in general but I don’t expect you’ll be grilled on the technical details of it. Best of Luck!

I did an interview for full time and the coderpad is just their solution to screen share. They just pasted in digital logic and leetcode type questions for me to then solve and talk through. As for verilog and testbenches the closest I got to it was determining output and knowing basic components of a testbench (might not apply because its internship instead but idk).
