Spoke with an Apple customer service rep who said that an in-store purchase can be returned for up to 30 days with no issue and that every Apple Store would honor this.
I purchased an iPhone 16 Pro a couple weeks ago just to try out the smaller size before I decided which 17 Pro to order (been using the Max for years). I totally forgot that the phones are only available for pre-order at first though, so needed a little extra time on my current device. I’ll return it after I switch everything over from the new one.
Either way I’m fine because I have the recorded call confirming I’m good. Just curious about everyone else’s experience.
Including extended product return window.
Hello, thirteen days ago (11/5) I purchased a 15” Macbook Pro and am not totally satisfied with my $2100 purchase so I am considering returning it. I was under the impression that I only had 14 days to return it until I looked at my receipt and it had this piece of information on it.
ReturnDate:Jan.08,2016
I wanted to know what this meant so I called Apple’s support line, the rep didn’t know either and transferred me to the store where I bought it and the person I spoke to just said return it asap. Anyways, after I hung up with them I came to this sub to do my own research on the issue and I read comments about the holiday return window and made sense why my receipt had that return date. I wanted to confirm with Apple support that this was true so I called back again, explained my situation to the rep, and was put on hold. Five minutes later, she came back and told me that I only had the 14 day window.
I am confused on what to do. If I do in fact have until Jan 8th to return the computer I am going to do that, but I don’t want to get screwed here. Can someone provide some guidance here? Is there evidence of the “Holiday Return Window” even existing. Please advise.
Items purchased at the Apple Online Store that are received between November 10, 2016 and December 25, 2016, may be returned through January 8, 2017. Please note that all other terms and conditions provided in the Apple Online Store Sales and Refunds Policy are still applicable with respect to such items purchased. All purchases made after December 25, 2016 are subject to the Standard Return Policy. (I believe this applies to Retail as well)

It seems to be the case in the retail stores as well. I picked up an MBP last week and the rep told me I had until January 8th to return it. This is in Canada, btw!
Strange, ordered my MBP when they launched in October, but received it Nov 16th... and the online return page says I have until Dec 9th to return it.
