Hi!

I'm moving from Proton to Fastmail, and since I won't be able to keep all my emails after downgrading my Proton account, I have exported and imported those to my Fastmail account.

I use Apple Mail on one of my computers, and I already have those Proton emails downloaded there, so when I will connect my Fastmail account to Apple Mail, I would like it to only download new emails (so I don't have duplicates).

Is there a way to achieve that?

I'm not sure what else to try and would like some advice if someone else has experienced this. My mail app is constantly downloading mail. Once it finishes it, it goes right back to downloading mail. I believe it is also affecting syncing. I also have Outlook installed on my Mac and it receives emails instantly whereas Apple Mail does not receive it minutes later even though set on 'Automatic' for mail reception. Every download is a different amount as well. First it was around 4K, then 40K, then 80K, now it is downloading 60K. This has been going on since 9AM this morning. In my full mailbox, I have about 25K emails when looking at Office web. (This is only one mailbox setup btw, not multiple) I have tried -

• Restarting PC

• Rebuilding Apple Mail

• Going offline then online

• Re-adding the account

• Running "safe-mode"
