It's not obvious where this app came from. According to the answer to this question, it probably is an app that was incompletely synced with iTunes.

There's nothing to worry about, and you don't need to do anything about it.

‘null’ app - Apple Community
When looking in the Settings area, did you check Settings > General > iPhone Storage to see if any apps show the name "Null" or something else that doesn't look familiar? If not, do that now. You can delete the app by tapping it once, then choosing "Delete App".

Sign in to (null) to update applications … - Apple Community
10.6.7 only changed the (null) part of the error message. But I've now got it working... I use Alfred which wasn't finding all my apps (and neither was Spotlight) so in checking out a solution to this found the following fix which needs to be run in Terminal. I have no idea what it does, but it has fixed all my problems. First delete and rebuild the spotlight index. Then run terminal and type arch -i386 mdimport /Applications Once this completed Alfred found all my apps, Spotlight concurred, and Mac App Store showed 14 updated in the update panel whereas before it said all apps were up to date.

"Null" app can't be deleted - Apple Community
June 16, 2017 - Go into Settings, General, Usage, Manage Storage. Once there, find the "null" app and at the far right, touch the Right Arrow ">" to take you to the specific App detail screen. There I was able to see some of the details of the app to let me know which one it was (see picture below).

null app - Apple Community
Recently I was deleting some apps to free some space. Everything went smooth, until I moved one app while deleting it. That’s when the (null) app popped out. It’s moveable and you can remove it from the Home Screen. It doesn’t show anywhere in Settings or in search results.

r/iphone on Reddit: How do I clear this null app from my settings?
November 12, 2015 - I am having the same issue. This is caused from apps that are updated using the "Update All" button after iOS 9 - there is a bug (that still isn't fixed) that will randomly cause apps to freeze during the update process and become null entries.

Hi gillescoens,So my understanding is that you found in your iPhone's settings an app that doesn't appear anywhere else. You don't know what it is and are concerned with your data security, is that right? It is hard to say where this came from, but it is possible that this is just an app that was incompletely synced. I would suggest that you re-sync your iPhone with iTunes on your computer to see if the issue resolves itself. This article shows how - Sync your iPhone, iPad, and iPod with iTunes using USB.Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.Sincerely.

I had a similar issue just now after upgrading my iPad 3 to iOS9 but was due to a NewsStand App. Fixed it using a combination of the comments inRe: "Null" app can't be deletedRetracing my steps:1. Upgraded to iOS92. As 'NewsStand' has been discontinued a new Folder with all my old NewsStand Apps appeared.3. As I had no more need for these deleted all these apps & folder4. Then just happened to see the same (null) app under main Settings Page as the OP Joeden19465. Then from 'Settings' clicked through 'General --> Storage & iCloud Usage --> Storage: Manage Storage' 6. Scrolled down (as have many ,many apps this took a while) but found the null icon and tried to 'Delete App'.7. Restarted Settings but (null) app was still there - (maybe should have tried a hard reset to see if it had disappeared)8. Repeated steps 5 & 6 and found a version number 2.1.739. Ran a Google search on 'version 2.1.73 ipad' and had seen halfway done the list 'BBC Good Food Magazine' - one of the apps I deleted in step 3.10. Redownloaded app, opened up 'BBC Good Food Magazine', ran 'restore purchases' (but had none), iPad froze and automatically rebooted.11. After reboot went back to 'Settings' and (null) app no longer there. Yippee!!!12. Repeated step 5 and found the app 'BBC Good Food' and deleted it.iPad 3, iOS9

Update Apple ID Settings for "(null)" to … - Apple Community
I recently updated to Ventura 13.1, and after the update, the system settings app is asking me to "Update Apple ID Settings" for the Apple ID "(null)" because "Some account services will not be available until you sign in again." Entering my regular Apple ID credentials (which is successfully logged into in the settings Apple ID page) is accepted for this requested update, with no error, but it doesn't clear the warning.

What is 'Null'? When I deleted an app, a message popped up saying “ALLOW NULL TO ACCESS”. I have an iPhone XR. All firmware is updated. - Quora
Answer (1 of 4): That is (probably) a programming error of an old app. Those type of error messages come from the way how messages are handled during programming. This is how these messages are created: Some basic message is prepared: for example: ALLOW TO ACCESS

iOS (null) Applications · Notes
August 27, 2016 - I guessed that if I could find which app it was, I could delete it, but googling for 453DA9D8-45A4-4B88-9D43-57A5772B6C57 or parts of it didn’t give me any hints. Eventually, while browsing Definitions > General > Storage and iCloud Usage > Manage Storage I found a application without an icon: Selecting it I was able to see just two things: the version and the size, nothing more. I searched a bit about these (null) applications and there are a lot of tips and tricks to delete them.
