I had this issue today on my iPhone 12 Pro Max. I contacted the Apple Support. I shared my screen to them and showed them the issue. Whenever a photo was taken from 1x or 0.5x, I saw the message · "an error occurred while loading a higher quality version of this photo" Apple Support told me to update my iPhone. I was on iOS 14.4 and I received a software update for 14.4.1 · After updating, this issue was resolved for me. ... I had exactly the same problem on both my phone and iPad.

June 5, 2024Why is Apple so buggy now?
As a software developer I can tell you that I think it’s something that is happening to OSes as a whole. As more and more features get added to the OS, it becomes more complicated with more moving parts and it just gets easier for bugs to slip through the cracks. I think it gets harder to manage all the different issues at the same time and across so many teams too. The larger the team usually the harder it is. I can’t even set a wallpaper these days without some fucked up bug happening and I mostly just accept it unfortunately. We have a TP-LInk Archer C3200 and TP-LInk C7 router, and both seem to have issues with Apple devices. Wi-Fi "seems" to be solid on all devices we own with the exception of our iPhones and iPads. iPhones connect fine and the connection to the Wi-Fi seems solid, but the Internet will stop working at random (usually after about 10-15 mins) and the only way to get it working again is disabling and re-enabling the Wi-fi on the iPhone. This is my third TP-Link router and it seems to be a consistent problem with our Apple devices.

As a professional working in the industry, I feel plenty safe with sms based 2fa. It’s worlds better than no 2fa, and most importantly it works.
I’m sure I’ll try Microsoft’s Authenticator again some day after they work out the integration with smart watches. But it’s just not meeting my needs today.

I too have the problem with the watch app not working to approve MFA requests through Microsoft Authenticator. But my onedrive vault works fine.
