Its incredible but it can’t handle AI stuff, it can handle development better than most people give it credit for but I was constantly writing 3 ram to ssd and it was getting really hot with my work

It’s basically a new computer with a discount and maybe some writes on the SSD. I would buy those all day long. Then again, I went with Backmarket, so my tolerance for used is a little higher than others.

I am looking at getting either a refurbished or new Macbook Pro 16" with Apple M3 Max. The prices on the Apple certified refurbished are only slightly less than the brand new, and my hope (or guess) is that they will be basically brand new. However, I have purchased refurb computers via Dell many times and I like them but they tend to have less battery life to them (I don't mind that about the Dells because I felt like I got a substantial discount).
My question is if anyone has had any experience buying an M3 Max refurbed and what the condition was actually like and if they felt like the amount of price savings was good but without sacrificing quality?

I’ve read they replace outer shells and batteries if needed but I’m still hesitant.

Do not hesitate. Buy from their Certified Refurbished store with confidence. I have bought several laptops for myself and others through it. They come without a fingerprint on them and carry the same warranty as a new one.
