I’m about to buy a 15 Pro Max and I always use a screen protector. Generally I do it myself but right now I can only use one hand and I kinda don’t want to mess it up, but anyway the main pitch that has me seriously considering siendo 40 dollars on a single sheet of glass is that the Apple Store employee claims I can visit any Apple Store and they will replace the Belkin screen protector. This sounds like a pretty cool deal if you travel or anything so I think I’m gonna do it but does anyone have experience with this? Brief online searches come up with people saying you have to go through Belkin and that it’s best to find a set on Amazon for half the price, no one mentions what this employee at the Apple Store told me so it’s either a little known policy or she is mistaken. My main concern is spending 40 bucks and then when/if it cracks having to deal with Belkin just to have to apply it myself anyway.
Any experiences with this are appreciated thanks.
Edit: I appreciate all the input but the main thing I’m I’m asking is if it is true that Apple stores will replace cracked or broken screen protectors, I know 40 bucks is a lot for a screen protector but it’s a big value added to not have to keep reapplying screen protectors myself, plus it would be nice if I could do it when I travel ( for some reason that seems to always be when I crack my screen protector). Hearing from one comment it’s actually handled through Belkin, if this policy that the Apple Store employee pitched me is only at their store or just not true then yeah 40 bucks for a screen protector is a rip off.

First, make sure you buy this at the Apple Store itself. I did a pickup order which apparently is limited to the home installation one. Ended up cancelling to get it installed in store.
They seemed to install it seamlessly on my 14 Pro Max with their machine, but after looking closely I noticed two very tiny pieces of dust in the corner and one trapped in the edge. They were small enough not to cause air bubbles, and the employee who installed it had to get another employee’s opinion as he couldn’t see it and said he used the sticker to capture all the dust. They said they could either swap it once using their machine, with no guarantee it will be any better, or give me a home installation one. I opted for the machine. Another employee did it this time and it was flawless (probably came down to how they applied the dust removal sticker).
I was reluctant to do this but also spent $40 and knew those little dots would bother me, especially since the last time I got one it was flawless. If you find any issues, have them reinstall a new one.
