January 16, 2025 - The only reason I've seen most of the shows on the list was through various subs and websites. Mythic Quest and Central Park were the only two I hadn't heard of on the list. See is probably my favorite Apple TV+ show, and I'm always surprised I don't see people recommending Sugar more often.

So in terms of "prestige TV" or just some of the best shows right now, after HBO Max it's Apple TV+ that's quickly rising to prominence. There's a real chance that at the Emmys and every major TV award this year of a double sweep in Drama and Comedy for Severance and The Studio.

Apple TV+ isn't currently available in my country yet but I have no doubts it will in the future so I'm curious when I finally get it, besides those two shows, what else is worth a binge? (You may also include any movies or documentaries that are good as well)

Hello,

So I've been obsessed with Severance and got a 3 month free trial of appleTV+ to be able to watch it in its full 4K glory. It's incredible. Like seriously, I haven't watched a series this good in forever.

But now that I got my subscription until August for free (and am probably going to be cancelling before paying), I'm wondering what the truly hidden gems are. I've had netflix before and frequently found myself just drained by how many mid or just plain bad movies there were in the selection. Is appleTV and different?

What are the best movies and shows on AppleTV+ ?

July 1, 2024 - It’s a witty fun show. Give it another try. ... For sci-fi: Monarch Legacy of Monsters. ... Foundation is good but not finished yet. ... Dickinson. Comedy period piece ... I think Shrinking is outstanding. Just finished season 2 last night. Also, if you’re into dark comedy, Bad Sisters is a fun watch. ... I like a lot of Apple's shows, Bad Sisters was good, I did not start the 2nd season yet.

In anticipation for Severance S2 I picked up Apple TV for a rewatch; now that I’m done with that I need something else to watch, here’s a list of shows I like.

As you can see I love crime dramas, or anything heavy, but I also enjoy a few light hearted shows/comedy’s.

Some shows I’m considering are: For All Mankind, Shrinking, Silo, Slow Horses, and The Morning Show, but for those who have seen most of these shows (or others), what do you recommend?

I love dystopian fiction so I'm starting Silo, which is based on a book series I've read. I like political dramas like Paradise and House of Cards and workplace dramas like Grey's Anatomy and The Rookie. Buffy the Vampire Slayer was my favorite show for a really long time. I also really enjoyed The Good Place, Gilmore Girls, 911 (OG and Lone Star), The Pitt, The Walking Dead (slowly working through the spinoffs).

I'd prefer suggestions with two or three seasons but if more seasons are coming soon, I'm down to join the bandwagon lol. Please stick to Apple+ suggestions as I'm trying to make good use of my temporary subscription. Thanks!

About a month ago I came here finding an Apple TV show to watch while I wait for new Severance episodes and I was led to Slow Horses, which I absolutely loved. I burned through its 4 seasons so fast I was incredibly hooked.

After that I saw Silo and it did not disappoint at all as a follow up to Slow Horses, I’ve never considered myself a big Sci-fi guy, but this one was a great watch.

Now I need something else, I tried to watch Shrinking, but it felt a bit too cliche for me, and I just didn’t like the personality of the show if that makes sense.

I’ve included a list of some of my favorite shows and as you can see, I tend to lean towards darker, heavier crime dramas, but I do like the occasional, funny sitcom.

Well that’s all I gotta say, excited to see what I find to watch next. Thanks in advance everyone!
