What can I watch with an Apple TV subscription?
Where can I watch Apple TV?
Can I get an Apple TV subscription for free?

My wife and I have been debating getting rid of our TV package and opting for an Apple TV. We really only use our current package to watch crave and TSN for the CFL. I don’t know anything about the Apple TV but I had a crazy hard time finding information about it, especially for Canada. I’m wondering if someone could Sherpa me up this mountain!
-
How has your experience has been with the Apple TV?
-
Can I use the Apple TV without getting their streaming service? Or can I just use Crave and Netflix and stuff.
-
Does TSN have an app that I can use? Or is it a channel? I don’t actually know how all of this works! *edit additional question!
-
is there a location where you can find all of the channels available? Or is that just the App Store?
Thank you so so much for your time!
I've searched and could not find, sorry: this site indicates that Apple TV+ offers the American live TV chains ("ABC, CBS, FOX & NBC"): https://www.yoreoyster.com/blog/streaming-services-canada/
How do you do this on Roku?
Apple TV+ is only Apple Original shows and movies.
Apple TV+ does not include US networks.
The Apple TV app allows you to subscribe to "Apple TV Channels", which are add-on subscriptions which you can access within the Apple TV app alongside Apple TV+.
US TV networks like ABC, Fox and NBC are not offered as Apple TV Channels in Canada. From memory, the options include things like StackTV and AMC+.
If you want to watch US TV networks via Apple TV in Canada, you'll need to subscribe to a cable TV package which also has a tvOS app. Probably the most cost-effective way to do this is Bell's "Fibe TV App" service, which is a streaming-only TV package. The monthly fee is much lower than a traditional TV package with a DVR, but it's only available to Bell home internet subscribers (e.g. "Fibe Internet with Fibe TV App Standard")

Edit: Just noticed you actually want to watch via Roku, not Apple TV. Bell does not offer Fibe TV App on Roku, but supports just about every other device. They will also toss in their own streaming stick when you subscribe if you want.
I’ve got Disney+, HBO Max, Prime, and SkyShowtime that all work. Meaning it shows up under Up Next and when I do a search in Apple TV+, it shows up that it’s available under that service.
I know Netflix doesn’t work but what other apps do you all use that connects this way?
Thinking in migrating from the firestick to an Apple TV , but I want to make sure the channels I use are available. I'm looking in the Apple TV app in my Mac and only see a few channels available. is there a bigger list or a way to check the channels I use are available? for example, recently found Tubitv. I don't see a way to search for it on the Apple TV app.
