I replaced a Fire TV Stick 4K with the 2nd generation Fire TV Cube (2019). The Apple TV app was working just fine on the Stick, but I’m unable to sign in to Apple TV on the Cube. Despite resetting the Cube to factory settings, uninstall them reinstalling the Apple TV app, both methods of signing in (“Sign In on Mobile Device” and “Sign In on This TV”) fail with the same “Verification Failed.

July 19, 2023 - Install the Apple TV app again, and reset your Fire TV stick if the issue persists. To fix the “Verification failed” error on Apple TV, make sure your date and time settings are correct.

I cannot even begin to sign in using a mobile device (“Verification Failed” appears right away) and when I try to enter my Apple ID and PW on the television I get the same “Verification Failed” message. My tv is showing the correct date and time and time zone and the software is up to date. Frustrating, since I just bought this TV so that I can watch these streaming apps, including AppleTV+. ... October 17, 2022 - Again how you do this may differ based on the maker. For example, if you have a Fire TV, go to Settings > Applications > Manage Installed Applications, select Apple TV and then select Clear Cache, and then Clear Data.
