I just got mine yesterday! Went from a series 2 to a Garmin Fenix, then tried out the newest Samsung... The series 6 is way ahead of the competition! The Samsung reminded me of the series 2 from four years ago. Garmin is good for purely sport use but wow Apple has made some strides since I had the series 2. More on reddit.com

September 22, 2020Tell me I f'ed up. Just bought an Apple Watch SE (2nd Gen) (instead of a Garmin) purely for running.
With a focus on running, the only reason to take an LTE AW with you in my opinion would be for lightweight connectivity (for emergency use). I wear one at the other wrist while running. Garmin is superior on all other aspects related to running. More on reddit.com

Yesterday i bought an apple watch se directly from apple. Less than 400, which was super nice and I have 2 years of apple care+. I have a few questions about it, thought I should ask.
First off, the specifics of the watch if anything would change because of it. It is a 44mm, GPS only, midnight aluminum with the same color sport loop. Dont think anything else is needed to be said, maybe.
My first question is, how durable is the sport loop's velcro, about how long does it last and does it matter if i submerge it.
Second question is for the watch itself, can I go swimming in a pool or a hot tub and it'll work fine. That's my biggest fear at the moment (and what about the ocean? i doubt itd be fine after that)
If anyone would like to share anything else, please do so. I hope some of my questions get answered and happy new year yall

As a device repair technician I have some advice on using your watch in various water conditions. Swimming pool: Yes but I'd still use caution Hot tub: probably not a good idea Fresh water: Yes but again use caution Salt water: Absolutely not Also nice on the SE2, I just got an iPhone 13 and a cellular 44mm SE off of Amazon and I absolutely love it and I can assure you that you probably will too.
