How much do you actually pay to add an Apple Watch cellular plan to a current plan? I know it says $10.99, but I’m sure there are some taxes and fees on top of that.
Hello. For some reason I can't seem to find a solid answer for this.
My iPhone is on a company wireless plan, so I have no personal cellular plan.
Can I get a true standalone cellular plan for Apple Watch?
I want an Apple Watch for myself, paired to my iPhone on a standalone cellular plan. Possible?
I know I’ve had this issue before when I fist bought my cellular watch. It happened again when I upgraded my iphone.
When your Apple Watch is not connecting to cellular on AT&T there is a solution that only the “back end team” of technical support can fix.
Your new phone has a new eSIM assigned to it. That means the number sync won’t work because we are telling the watch to connect to 2 eSIMS. You and your watch can’t disconnect from that eSIM on your own. You can’t do the number sync because the AT&T app will kick you out. You can’t do it through the AT&T app. You need someone from AT&T to remove it. And they can’t do that at the store. Or a general tech call. It has to be back end support.
And probably vice versa with a new watch.
The back end team had to remove the old eSIM for the watch to be recognized on the network.
I was working on this issue for 6 hours( in store, at home, on calls) Once I spoke to a technical support team member.
By the time the issue was recognized it took less than 20 min to resolve.
I hope this post helps AT&T team members and AT&T subscribers.
A word of advice, be kind to tech support. The operator exhausted her capabilities and transferred me to the right department. She knew I did everything the AT&T website said. And everything I could do on my end. She consulted with other employees to get me to the right department.
I work in hospitality. Every person I spoke with was top notch. Checking in. I’ll call you in 2 minutes and they do!
I’m thinking “ yeah, yeah” they’ll call me. They did! The person I was speaking to actually called me back. AT&T upped their customer service.
I know this is a VERY common issue, I wish it was more streamlined to not waste tech support and customers time.
