Answer (1 of 2): No I would say it’s a cosmetic update slightly larger Watch face the always on screen watch feature is now brighter ,longer battery life. However additional medical apps very limited or none I would wait for Watch 8 for major upgrades

One thing I'd look at is the battery health of his current watch. On the Watch, Settings>Battery>Battery Health. If it's below 80% or close to it, you might be looking at needing to replace the battery. It might then be worth considering if you want to put that money toward a new watch instead. The Watch 5 also has a trade-in value of up to $145, depending on model and condition.

Answer (1 of 2): There is no point for upgrading from 5 to 7. I will suggest wait for 8 series if you really want to upgrade.
