hi everyone, really hope i’m not repeating or asking a stupid question here, but i cannot find the answer anywhere.
while trying to set up my refurbished series 6 apple watch, both the watch and the watch app are giving me a message that “This apple watch does not support Vodafone UK mobile service in this region.” I have included a screenshot for the full message. I had read prior to purchase that vodafone would work fine. I’m based in Scotland BTW.
now, i am with “voxi”, a cheaper service provided by vodafone for teens, could this be the issue?
Furthermore, while trying to find which service providers will work,i couldn’t work that out either, as apple only include this information for newer models. The only information relating to the Series 6 is the “Family Setup” section of the website, which also names vodafone as a supported provider.
When purchasing the watch, nothing was mentioned about it being locked to a certain service provider either. What am i supposed to do? I have no issue switching providers, given that i’ll be able to use cellular on the watch if i do so. Which provider/ plan should i use, or what else can i do to get cellular up and running?

EDIT: ( I have just checked again and i could have sworn Vodafone came up on the family set up compatibility page with the series 6, but upon filming the attached video i realised it’s not there. Could this be related to the problem? It’s still under family setup which is not what i want, i just want to set up my own watch.)
