I would say no especially if you're already happy with your existing Series 7. The longer you hold out on upgrading, the more financially sound it is (since the cost of your Series 7 would spread out over even a longer period) and the more features you will get the next time you do "have" to upgrade to a new Apple Watch.

The Series 7 will remain supported for at least watchOS 11, and maybe beyond. So it will still function as it has in the past. And assuming you have taken good care of your battery by not allowing to drain to zero lots of times, it should still last you all day. My Series 4, on the other hand, will drop off the supported list with watchOS 11, so I am getting a Series 10...

September 6, 2024 - I expect both devices to sport larger displays than their predecessors; the reduction in bezel size will presumably make way for a larger screen on the 45mm model. Reports also suggest that Apple is moving away from rounded screen edges on the new devices in favor of a flat edge, like those found on the Ultra series. In terms of the number and placements of physical controls, no changes are expected. Sadly, this means that the Apple Watch 10 likely won't inherit the Ultra's awesome Action Button.
