I am thinking of buying Kyanite Jacket (no hood) but in Arcteryx website it has really bad reviews. Almost every new review is bad and complaining about worse quality of material in current version and about instant pilling.

Keep in mind the colors will impact durability and functionality of the fabric. Darker colors that have higher saturation dye for longer and are subject to heat longer changing the material. The material needs to get to a certain temp to take on color and it's stays there longer with the deeper colors. Buy light grey or other lighter non saturated colors and the fabric will be closer to proper.

I just picked up the new Kyanite Jacket (formerly AR) in Pytheas. Pretty similar to the last version except the Collar and Zips are now in a slight contrast in a lighter shade of the same color. There is also no longer a horizontal seam across the lower chest. It feels just slightly thicker than my 2020 and 2021 Kyanite but it's hard to say if that's just in my head. Similar trim cut and length. I'm tall and want the kyanites to be slightly longer in the waist but it's not a deal breaker for me as the sleeves are perfect (I have a big ape index) Similar stretchy comfort.
I prefer the older collar style as I exclusively use my Kyanite Jackets for casual/work use but I still think this is the best casual fleece in the game, if you can stomach the price.
Edit: After picking up a Sawyer in Boxcar, the lighter color of the collar and zipper seams appears to be the Boxcar color as well.
