It's driving me nuts. After bills, rent, and necessities I don't have enough money left over for clothing and homegoods that are brand new. I 100% rely on thrifting. It used to be that I could buy 12-15 items of clothing at Arc for $50. Now, every single sweater on the rack is priced above $18 each...even when the brand is TARGET or WALMART! Nearly the exact same price as it was when it was new. Half melted candles for $9.99, $44.99 for a throw blanket, etc. The list of atrocities goes on.
Has anyone researched where the profits generated from price-gouged donations actually goes?
I wonder if they would feel pressured to relax their prices back a bit if a large amount of people from the community were to complain.
What do you guys think?
