August 28, 2025DAE feel like the prices at The Arc Thrift Store are becoming increasingly ridiculous/overpriced?
I’ve stopped going to the ARC for this reason. It used to be my go to now I feel like they don’t even look at what they are pricing. I go to try and find cheap toys for my kid and they literally put trash out and mark it $4.99. The Goodwill is my go to now. Stuff is definitely marked higher than a year ago, but I feel like the goodwill actually goes through their inventory and puts out decent items. More on reddit.com

None are “best” per se but Arc and Goodwill have bigger selections. If you want to drive a bit, Loveland Arc often has a better selection. The Fort Collins Arc gets pretty picked over. More on reddit.com

Yall. I KNOW thrift stores like goodwill have been overpricing items for ages but i thought ARC would be different since it’s not such a big chain. However, everytime I go there, I see things blatantly overpriced. Last month I found a dollar store plastic hand fan for almost 5 dollars?? And today, even wilder, a board game priced on the box (looked like Target pricing) for 3 dollars and an ARC tag for 3.29… Where are they getting these numbers? I guess it just bugs me so much because thrift stores are supposed to be cheaper and more accessible stores for low-income populations. I used to love thrifting but now I just feel scammed.
If you know of any locally owned mom and pop thrift stores in the area let me know! I’d rather support these businesses anyways!

Way too many wack pricers working there. But there are still good people pricing things…I’ve found many great bargains! Buy the good finds for a deal and mock the stupid pricing - as in post them online. If they care, maybe they will start to get real with their pricing.
