September 15, 2020 - The temperature sensor is a device, usually an RTD (resistance temperature detector) or a thermocouple, that collects the data about temperature from a particular source and converts the data into an understandable form for a device or an observer. #include <OneWire.h> #include <DallasTemperature.h> // Data wire is plugged into pin 2 on the Arduino #define ONE_WIRE_BUS 2 OneWire oneWire(ONE_WIRE_BUS); DallasTemperature sensors(&oneWire); void setup(void) { Serial.begin(9600); Serial.println("Dallas Temperature IC Control Library Demo"); // Start up the library sensors.begin(); } void loop(void) { Serial.print(" Requesting temperatures..."); sensors.requestTemperatures(); // Send the command to get temperature readings Serial.println("DONE"); Serial.print("Temperature is: "); Serial.print(sensors.getTempCByIndex(0)); // Why "byIndex"?

August 2, 2020 - We need a sensor to feed data to the system and tells the controller when to take action ยท If you are building an Arduino powered car that will avoid obstacles while cruising, you could, for example, make use of a collision crash sensor to tell the controller when an obstacle is ahead of the car, then the controller can tell the wheel to stop and move to a different direction.

August 25, 2021 - Rather than detecting the sound, the sensor is used to detect the intensity of the sound produced. Processing these sounds will produce the digital signals needed for the device and hence the system produces the output. The sound is detected in the microphones and this sound is adjusted with the help of a potentiometer. A setpoint is provided in the potentiometer and when the sound exceeds the limit of the setpoint, an output is sent to the Arduino board and displayed on the screen.
