I've pre-purchased the new Bose QC Ultra Headphones. I have ear buds for the gym but I've always favored over ears due to personal preference. I've got mixed responses from Bose support regarding if the headphones are sweat resistant. I'm aware the sweat will damage the ear muffs and the head band. My concerns are more if sweat will damage the electronics. Can anyone confirm?

What is the difference between QuietComfort 45 Headphones, QuietComfort Ultra Headphones, and QuietComfort Headphones?
What are the controls on Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds?
How is the immersive audio for the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones?
The chart below shows how the sound of the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones’s immersive mode was assessed by the Multi-Dimensional Audio Quality Score (MDAQS) algorithm from HEAD acoustics.
The immersive audio settings for the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones make your music sound like you’re listening to speakers setup in front of you. You can change the mode so that the head-tracking keeps these imaginary speakers in the same position whenever you move your head, or you can have the virtual speakers stay in front of you, no matter how you turn your head.
The effect didn’t do much for me (as it didn’t with the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds), but it may be attractive to some. The audio quality suffered a bit — making me turn the effect off pretty quickly. Additionally, the effect doesn’t land on my ears, which may be due to left-right channel matching.
In general, this can get a little overblown for the sake of nitpicking, but channel imbalances like the one shown above can and do impact your perception of 3D space in mixes. In the case of high frequencies, some of the spatial cues can be a little off, which is made worse by a slight lag introduced by processing the head’s position in space.
I'm looking into purchasing a pair of Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones and so far I'm seeing no negatives to them whatsoever! However I'm struggling to find anything definitive about the rain-resistance of the QC Ultra headphones...?
I have read that the headphones aren't water resistant, but when I read further that almost appears to be referring to submerging them in water or something (I will say now - as if it wasn't already obvious - I'm not the most tech-savvy man by a LONG shot! I just can't live without having headphones on haha)
Where I live we're lucky to get a solid two weeks of sun during the summer, so needing my headphones to be able to withstand heavy rain is an absolute must. These headphones obviously aren't cheap, so I want to make sure before I spend the money that they won't wind up damaged when I wear them out in the rain.
Any input or info about these would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Hi everyone! I just recently bought a new pair of headphones, the Bose QuietComfort Headphones (not the ultra). I've been looking everywhere to see if it's fine to use in the gym, because I've been doing research and have been seeing mixed reviews saying that it's not good for excessive moisture and sweat since it can damage it. However, I've also seen people in the gym using it and just saying to make sure to wipe it clean after gym use and to generally take care of it and it should be fine. I really don't want to buy something else just for the gym because this alone was expensive enough, but I also don't want to damage these since they're new and have great noise cancellation. I personally prefer to have over-the-ear headphones for the gym because I've had experiences with smaller earbuds and they drive me crazy since they easily fall out, so definitely don't want to switch to those. Any experiences with these in the gym would really be appreciated. Thanks!
