Deere and Simplicity have a Lot of Backwards compatible attachments. Cub Cadet, On the other hand, depends On the series. Need to know the Model you have with the 46-inch deck and what Model is the 54-inch deck coming from.

I have a Cub Cadet Lt1550 that I’m in need of a deck for, locally there’s a 50” deck off of a Lt1050 for sale. I’m not familiar with the different models and can’t find much online, since they’re both 50” decks is the 1050 deck compatible with the 1550 mower?

Call an independent Cub dealer and ask them. They also have a few decks in their bone yard for sale.

You could do the compare the parts list thing. MTD has decks aplenty, but more commonly they had gone to a lower profile 50" deck ~ a decade or so ago. My guess is pre XT decks would likely interchange.

I have a 1999 Cub Cadet Z54 zero turn mower. As you can see from the picture, my mower deck looks like Swiss cheese. I have been searching Craigslist and Facebook marketplace trying to find a new/used one, but have had no luck.
Anyone have any ideas for where I can look to find one? Or perhaps a mower deck from another model that might work?

Locate an independent Cub dealer, not a big box store, and see if they have one in their bone yard. As an 08 owner, I'm going to tell you that after 10 years, just about all of them look like that. If your main problem is the mounting holes for the spindles have rotted, both MTD and Amazon sell a replacement stiffener kit for around $35. Known problem, they only just addressed last year.

Just went through the same exact scenario with my 42” cub cadet deck. I ended up stripping it down to bare metal, grinded, patched, rust primered and re painted.
