I just looked at the top 30 projects and saw that almost all of them have a negative annual return. Only one or two are in the green. For me this is a sign that we are in a bear market. What do you think?

Q6. Will there be a crypto bear market in 2026?
When is the bullrun starting? i kept hearing alt season, meme season and all sort of season. how do i know when the bullrun start or has it really started? i saw a post on x this morning that "the four years cycle has ended" and i wonder if we are now in bear market. wait do i even understand this terms? Which token is best to hold during this season because currently i have bgb, sol, ada, xrp, and few btc in my wallet. is there anything i need to know about this bullrun or bear market?
Judging by the current price action and market sentiment, it looks like the cycle top is behind us. The structure is looking increasingly bearish.
For those still waiting for a massive V-shaped recovery immediately, you might be in for a disappointment. In my opinion, we are heading into a long period of consolidation.
Are you guys still holding, or have you taken profits and exited?
Now that crypto has institutional investment and ETFs, I think it is likely that bear markets and bull runs are going to be less pronounced than they were in the past. Perhaps even the four year cycle that we've come to expect will fall apart soon.
The thing is all of us are waiting for 2026 or so for the next bear market, and we all are going to buy in then. However, how disappointed would we be if (lets assume this round BTC peaks at 140K) BTC actually bottomed out at 90K or something, and then in the next run it just made it to 180K in 2028. Or, for example, lets say that ETH peaks at 6K, then bottoms out at 4K, and makes it to 8K in 2028. Those scenarios would likely be disappointing to many on here, but I see this type of thing is pretty realistic.
At a certain point, is it not true that this whole thing will not be happening? After all, if cryptocurrency indeed does become a major currency, its value will be pretty stable. None of this stuff will matter anymore. How far is that though?
How powerful is the halving in reality?
